disable the back function on the default page for catalog

Hi.. currently the os is set so that the user can not go oustside of the shopping cart by clicking on the back button. And this is causing me problems with overture - (marketing tools), they do no let me add my site because the back button does not work. can somebody help me disable this functionality of os.
