Phunky
Thank you, i see the script has lots and lots AND LOTS of nested <table>'s ( eeK  ) very nasty! Tis a shame i was hoping to keep my site in <div>'s with Compliant Xhtml / CSS . But end of the day if i get it to look like the design ill be happy. * Wish's for Template Based system *
paulm2003
I completly have to agree with Phunky. I was very enthusiastic about osCommerce until I looked at the HTML code. It is an ugly mix of PHP and "very old HTML code", sorry but I don't know how to say this nice. One table with only a minimum of td's, is about the max for for layout I think. And if every td has an id and/or class, changing the design is so easy with CSS. If you want to take a quick look at the tables osCommerce uses take a look at: http://bpc.televisiedokter.nl/catalog/index.php (pages for testing only) count how many red dotted borders there are (if you can!) , then you''ll know how many tables are used for the layout. If anyone already has converted (or has started converting) the pages, to standard HTML and CSS, please let me know! I would like to try it myself, but I am on a holliday for at least three weeks from now.
