Mark1
Check your catalog folder. Make sure there is a folder inside it named /install. Make sure the file oscommerce.sql is contained inside the install folder. Mark

Mark1
The only other thing I can think of to check is make sure you have the proper path entered for the catalog folder in the setup before the install. If the path is not correct, it will not find the catalog/install folder and therefore not find the .sql file. Mark
PaulK
This is an open bug: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/bugs,1263 The install script builds the wrong path for the install directory. /install would be at the root. I tried copying the directory to the root and it works. There is a pretty simple workaround. First, run the oscommerce.sql script directly in mysql. After the script is run, start the install. Unclick the box that asks if you want to install the database. Hope this helps. Paul
Gaston_L
1) create database using phpmyadmin 2) follow install without import catalog to the end 3) look at the error messages fopen (xxxxxx/admin/includes/configure.php) and keep the value of xxxxxx 4) reexecute install without import catalog and type at the "Webserver Root Directory" the value of xxxxxx
