DKarr
I have two sales channels: one Retail and one Wholesale. BUT, all my Retail customers can use their Retail account to login on my Wholesale website. I have two customer groups: one Retail and one Wholesale. BUT, even though I have set the individual pricing to NOT show Retail my Wholesale Prices, it does anyway. Am I the only vendor who's Retail customers would be upset viewing what the Wholesale customers pay for the same product? Has anyone else tried this out on their sites? @herbsandhelpers Quote At least 90% of my programming problems lie somewhere between my keyboard and my chair. herbsandhelpers
I have successfully split this. Only each account holder in a particular group can view that groups products. The only issue I have found is that if you have Options the prices can be viewed without an account if set to both Retail and Wholesale. Have you: Ensured each product is set to the correct group, either Retail, Wholesale or both? On the price for each product DON’T leave any price set to MAIN. Ensure each price is set for the group. If it’s NOT a retail item then don’t leave it as MAIN, choose retail and set it to 0.00 This area was very important to me as legally only Practitioners with insurance can access products in the Practitioner group. When you have a customer, make sure they are properly assigned to the correct group. Initially they are set to MAIN. That’s why you must make sure no products prices are set to MAIN, only the groups. In store settings also make sure you specify that prices are for logged only etc. I hope this helps, I had to play with it for weeks before I totally sussed it out. herbsandhelpers
So for each product check these areas: Under Assign/Restrict tab ensure each group set. Under Price/Cost, under Edit Group Price, ensure the price for each group set. Don’t leave as MAIN. DKarr
herbsandhelpers
Also remember each category also has assign/restrict. I use product assign/restrict and the Edit group price to control access. Which seems to override category settings. However you could hide a whole category from either group etc. Depends on your needs.
herbsandhelpers
I have also created a message in translation to clearly explain why certain products don’t display: You can do it !
DKarr
It was the "Main" thing fouling me out! Main > 0.00 Retail >Disabled for "Retail" Wholesale:>Use "Wholesale" price It works! Thank you! herbsandhelpers
Also don’t forget Menu. Each item on menu also has a group setting. I’m afraid you’ve got to play with all the options until you get the right mix for your site. Try switching your test account between the two to see how it looks. herbsandhelpers
There’s just so many options it’s difficult to know what to do. The only way I found was repeatedly logging in under each and watching what happened… dooohhh With the invoice thing I suspect a bug … Can team fix please! DKarr
It occurs to me that displaying Main for a Group that has been specifically Disabled must also be a bug. But I am soo relieved to now have a work-around! Quote At least 90% of my programming problems lie somewhere between my keyboard and my chair.
