Hi,

I tried coding pages in windows-1257 for lithuanian localization and write some worlds (in lithuanian are 9 more diff. letter from english).

But bowser wont choose correct encoding charset automatically, always iso-8859-1.

I can change encoding manually, but they lost in next page.

When I view to page source in notepad, charset is correct, and after saving static page and reopening displaying OK.

I tried also encoding iso-8859-13, russian language pack with windows-1251 and always have the same.

Is there server side problem or ???

Can I change encoding from iso-8859-1 to other?

any suggestion are predicable

winxp, ie6 -english version, Apache/2.0.47 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.0.47 OpenSSL/0.9.7b PHP/4.3.2 oscommerce-2.2ms2

I tried static pagen open in browser and serve him. When serving, browser display in iso-8859-1 when in page charset windows-1257.

Then I foun in apache httpd.config:

#AddDefaultCharset ISO-8859-1

then I comment this line and now lithuanian, rusian and english work together! :D
