Chadduck Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 @pandrei After almost a year since I began this undertaking and the initial import of the ORIGINAL Osc 2.3 database, I am approaching the final hurdles and I will need to update the initial import. So the question becomes - Do I simply move the current active database to the new test server and follow the initial migration instructions as before? -OR- Is there an easier way to undertake the updating/importing of the new orders, customers, and the product changes that have occurred? Direction and guidance is appreciated. BJ Quote

It depends on how many records do you have for products, customers and orders. Tell me approximate numbers and I will tell you how best to proceed. Quote

Since the initial import there have been about 700 orders placed. No new products have been added. Although I can not swear to it some of the customers could be returning customers. Perhaps there is a way to export those orders and associated information? Just a thought. BJ Edited June 6, 2024 by Chadduck Quote

Import customers and orders - new record will be imported and existing ones will be updated. (new records may have a different id from the old one) Quote
