gfax Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Hello everyone, I decided today to upgrade from Oscommerce 2.3.1 (installed in 2014) to the latest version 4. But after installing the system in French from the App Shop, here is what I get (screenshots): Why can't I switch the administration part of the site (backend) to French nor the public part of the site (frontend)? Where is the place where we switch? Sorry if I'm stupid but it's my first day with version 4, and I don't speak English well... THANKS. Philipe. Quote

Where is the place where we switch? Hello Philipe, The second screenshot show that French translation is installed successfully. Now you should enable French language into Admin -> Settings -> Localization -> Languages Then: To swich to French in the backend, just click on the French flag in Admin -> Dashboard page To enable French in the frontend add French language in sales channel (your third screenshot) Quote
gfax Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 Good morning, Thank you for the quick reply. But, precisely, I cannot: on the Dashboard, if I click on the English flag, the French flag is not displayed and the choice of French language is not displayed for the frontend. It's as if the French language had not taken root well or only half. It must be said that during installation, it took a very long time with the screenshot below. So I reloaded the page and I got the result that you saw in screenshot in my previous message. In other words, installing the French language blocks the system and seems to be done partially. Everything seems to be installed well after reloading the page when it is blocked, but it is not complete. And here, after interrupting the blocking installation, the result: The French language is not available it seems to me. Thnaks. Philippe Quote
gfax Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 Oops ! in fact I did not go to this place (screenshot below) to validate the French: It's done now. It was my fault: thank you for your reply. Sincerely. Philipe Quote
