Is it possible to see when somone has clicked the notify me when in stock and added thier information?  It would help the website owner know where to focus attention on out of stock items.

I installed the app and can see who has signed up for notify when back in stock however I have restocked that product , and it still has not sent a email to the customers. Do I need to manually send these emails or is there a setting in the product listing I need to change?  I assumed that the cart would automatically send those emails as soon as I updated stock.

Thanks

Not sure, but I think it's not fully operational as Cron scheduler is not available yet.

Thanks for right answers!

That may be the case  We just realized one of our site had several requests and we didnt know it.

@Ivan Holbi  Is this something for the future or am I missing a way to make this work?

CronSheduler allows to send such emails automatically or manually. It will be available as soon as new version is released.

Is there any news on when the update will be ready to send the emails, even if it just manually the same way it did in the old version 1.0.7.5 Phoenix I used to use?

The new version has now been released - 4.13.

I installed the cron add on and played around a bit.  getting this message though:

You didn't provide a path to WGET. Please set WGET path  manually

Some cron jobs require wget.

Go to Module->Extensions, select Cron Scheduler and click Edit button. Fill in path to wget and path to PHP.

Also you can ignore this warning. In this case wget jobs will fail.

PS. Don't forget to add this cron job manually:

I know this might seem a silly question...

I have installed the notify module, and the cron extension. I have gone into cron manager (sorted the errors - wget, php path, prod_open). I have install the standard cron job 'Add Standard Job -> Products -> Notify back in stock' and then assign.

Is it as simple as that?

Mostly.  there is an email template you can modify too, but after fixing the path errors, I was able to get it to run.

When it runs does it delete them from the list of people to be notify or do they stay on the list?

And should these cron jobs show in the CPanel hosting list of cron jobs?

No.

Here are the steps:

1. Install Cron Scheduller app

2. Add to CPanel cron job the main job of Cron Scheduller (it is displayed in the botton of Cron Scheduller page):

3. Then add the standard job:

Thank you for that, did not notice that I needed to scroll down the page to find that.

Okay,

Using the excellent Blog in the forum I seem to have managed to get this set up and get rid of all errors except:

image.thumb.png.7d00e752d4065db0013eef84fdc50392.png

Can someone advise on how solve the proc thing? Is it a setting in C Panel ? Search doesn't find anything.

How do I solve this error?

Okay,

I've now enabled the above functions in my C Panel and all the error messages in CM have gone.

I therefore hope that the Notify function will now work so I need to test.
