Guest Posted July 11, 2003 Share Posted July 11, 2003 Hi, I was testing my osCommerce installation when I noticed that the payment screen won't continue if I don't specify at least one shipping method. I enabled a shipping method and made the shipping amount = $0.00 then proceeded to test the checkout procedure. The shipping mod is still charging $5.00 to ship even though NO REAL shipping will occur. How do I bypass the shipping mods and still allow my customers to choose PayPal or 2checkout and then continue to the payment screen? thanks in advance Sincerely ozone333 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Daemonj Posted July 11, 2003 Share Posted July 11, 2003 If you are selling virtual products, make sure the product records have a weight of 0 and an attribute of download. Guest Posted July 11, 2003 Share Posted July 11, 2003 Hi, thanks for the advice, I went in to the admin section and set all of the weight info to "0" then set the two test items to "0" and removed all of the different encoding options completely. then I made sure that download was specified as the only option to purchase. This is the screen contents of the test purchase I'm trying to make: Shipping Address Please choose from your address book where you would like the items to be delivered to. Shipping Address: (lists my test address) Shipping Method This is currently the only shipping method available to use on this order. (no method for shipping is listed/nothing is listed) Continue Checkout Procedure to select the preferred payment method.
