xtremelyfit Posted July 11, 2003 Posted July 11, 2003 This is weird. I open a file using File Manager Edit and then Save it and it blows the file - even when I make no changes. I've been trying to edit my HEADING_TITLE in the /includes/languages/english/index.php file and even if I make no changes when I go back to my store and click on catalog I get a T_String error. It seems as though the very act of opening and saving, even with no changes, changes the file! Has anyone experienced this problem with the Save function?

Nothing would fix it even replacing the original text - had to upload that inlcludes/languages/english/index.php file fresh from zipped pkg. I'm waiting for MS2. I've been hoping it's just in the snapshot I had. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

A workaround would be to edit the file on your local system and then upload it via ftp to your server. You should never make live edit's on a server unless you are not online yet.
