greysun
I am thinking of installing a fresh copy of MS1. I am currently using an older snapshot from november. I am worried about the database transfering properly. I am working with about 3000 items and I would hate to have to add them all again Have there been any changes to the database structure? Should I install MS1 or the latest snapshot? When is MS2 slated to be released and will it contain changes to the database structure?

There have been some changes but you should be able to transfer your catalog inventory easily. In PHPMyAdmin, select the export tab, select the categories, manufacturers, products, and product attributes tables, select data only, select complete inserts, and save to file. After you have installed whichever new version of osC you wish to use, upload that file via the sql tab and you should be set. Have there been any changes to the database structure? Yes. Using the complete inserts will ensure that the information is placed in the correct fields. Should I install MS1 or the latest snapshot? When is MS2 slated to be released and will it contain changes to the database structure? MS2 is currently in a security audit. It is hoped to be released within the next few days/week so long as no bugs are found during testing. "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. Guest
MS2 is currently in a security audit.Actually, the security audit is finished (closed on the workboard). The current hold up seems to be a cookie problem. Harald posted about this in the Linux Tag thread in the announcements forum. Cheers, Matt
