Jamsy
Hi All Forgive me but I have been going over the forum for last 6 hours (yes 6 :( ) just looking to solve one problem. I have seen the Session ID contribs but I keep hearing that they are outdated if using 2.2 I am using the latest version (2.2) of OsCommerce and have switched search engine freindly url's on but what i really want to do is to remove the session id from from the url for ALL browsers. I have tried the force cookies option also but this I feel will stop people from buying if they have to edit their Browser settings. Also when i test the setup with search engine friendly urls set to true the links appear with session ids on the searchengineworld spider sim is this right? Pouli
no one got any help at all I know how you feel, none of my questions has ever been answered... :sigh: In admin, you also have an option under sessions called prevent spider sessions. Set this to true. However, even after making this change, I remember that the searchengineworld spider sim still displayed sessions id. I found another sim on the web: http://www.webconfs.com/search-engine-spid...r-simulator.php and it worked with this one, ie session id do not appear. Hope this helps, Michel
