Table shipping

Problem with table shipping. I have aproduct which has a weight of 200. My table is configured as 250:3,500:4,1000:6 so the shipping cost should be 3 for 1 item. But at the checkout shipping is 12. I have tried altering the weights and table to 0.2o weight and table .25:3,.5:4 etc. Have I missed something?

try adding the remainder of the info 250:3.00, not 250:3

I tried what you suggested (250:3.00) but it didn't work. It gets more confusing.

I have tried setting my table with just one value. 250:3.50 and then varying the product weight to see what shipping value I get.

1 product at weight anything up to 50.00 gives a shipping charge of 3.50

1 product at weights 50.00 to 100.00 gives a shipping charge of 7.00

1 product at weights 101.00 to 150.00 gives a shipping charge of 10.50

1 product at weight 151.00 gives a shipping charge of 14.00

1 product at weight 200.00 gives a shipping charge of 17.50

I have tested setting by price and that works ok.

Any other ideas?

Where is the calculation code?
