error: Call to undefined function: array_map() general.php

Hi all, starting to get an osc installation running, everything works like a charm, except the following:

 

In the admin tool, under Categories/Products, I created a category, & when I attempt to click on the category (after it is 'activated' & the Edit/Delete/Move buttons are available) I get the error:

 

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: array_map() in /osc_path/includes/functions/general.php on line 1277

 

This same error appears if I attempt to move a product into the category.

 

I have tried deleting & re-adding the category entry, but the same error appears. I cannot seem to find any info in the support forums about array_map being undefined. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.
