Athorize.net and OSC Milestone 2.2 MS1

Hi guys (and girls)

I am having a difficult time getting these two to work.. And I really need some help! This site is for a museum and I want it working right.

I have a OSC 2.2 MS1 installed with the authorize.net module that came with it. I have set up the authorize.net account too.

So far, what I have done:

Got the transaction key from the auth.net account and pasted it into the auth.net module in admin.

I also setup the receipt url and the response url in the auth.net account to:

https://www.mysite.com/shop/checkout_process.php

This was according to a post in here.

Now the weird thing is, I'm not getting any errors. :?:

I have the cart in production mode and my auth.net account in test mode.

I go through the checkout process completely and it goes something like

this:

checkout -> shipping method -> enter card info -> continue -> confirm ->

then it tells me purchase went through successfully.

But then in my authorize.net account, it does not show me anything...

and just now when I was trying another test purchase I got my very first error since working on this site. the error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/spaceha/public_html/shop/includes/application_top.php on line 293

If anyone can help.. Please give me some suggestions or info, whetever..

I would greatly appreciate your time/help.

Chris

Well I figured I would come in here and explain the weirdness.

After reading everything in here about "common" problems regarding authorize.net and OSC, I still did not find any information that could help me. Today though, I figured out why authorize.net was not showing any reports of any transactions. I had tried OSC in test mode and in production mode while authorize.net account was in test mode. For some strange reason, the two only show results when authorize.net is NOT in test mode. After changing from test mode, both authorize.net and OSC work great. Transactions go through.

Incase someone is having somewhat the same problem I had, I am using OSC Milestone 2.2 MS1 with the packaged authorize.net module.

One thing, OSC does not send item description or invoice/purchase number to authorize.net, which is kinda weird as it sends everything else.

So if you choose to have authorize.net send email to customer, those two fields will be blank.

I don't think it has made the invoice number yet, since the order isn't finalized until after payment is made. Item description doesn't work, since people are not limited to just one item (usually).

Good luck,

Matt
