Shop update

How do I work/ do updates on the shop, online or offline? If offline, which files do I have to upload?

 

I deleted some categories and added some new (offline, to try it out), then I uploaded everything, installed it and it was the standard shop (without the stuff I changed), so it came into my mind that I have to work online on the shop?

Did you move your mysql database too?

:oops: ah, that`s it. I am really new to this stuff and have to learn ;)

I found the mysql file on my harddisk, how do I export these onto my webspace? I didn`t found anything in the myphpadmin or a folder with my FTP programm...
