timclb Posted July 8, 2003 Share Posted July 8, 2003 Please help I have osC 2.2MS1 on an XP Box. I am using Apache with MySql. On Localhost I cannot import the database info from oscommerce.sql I have tried to do it through http://localhost/catalog/install and Manually When i try to import through http://localhost/catalog/install i end up with this only the first warning part shows up about a 100 times " Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in C:apachehtdocscataloginstallincludesfunctionsdatabase.php on line 41 The database import was successful! " When I try to install manually i can create a database in MySql only I can't add to it. Any help is appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted July 8, 2003 Share Posted July 8, 2003 I presume you are using phpmyadmin? To create the database manually, go into phpmyadmin, on the left you will see 'create new database', enter the name of your database into here and press 'create'. Then on the right side of the screen it sais: Run SQL query/queries on database gp Just under this it sais: Or Location of the textfile : Where it sais this click browse and locate 'oscommerce.sql' This is located here: catalog :arrow: install :arrow: oscommerce.sql Then click go and your database should be populated.
