A plea fro help - 6 month old shop gone haywire!

Hi all,

my shop is running full steam, but gone haywire in the last 3 or 4 days. Here's the symptoms...

1. Some customers complaining cart is emptied at random, part way through shopping

2. I'm getting Worldpay transactions, but the order is nowhere to be seen

3. Double emails confirming orders when they do come through

4. Everything working for me!

Here's what I have changed...

added 4 or 5 logos to the bottom of default.php (code below, all seems fine)

added Meta Tag admin contribution to ADMIN part of site.

so...could logos being displayed from OTHER sites affect anything? Can a change to admin affect ordering from the shop?

Anxiously awaiting some assistance!

The code I added at the bottom of default.php...

<?php

include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_UPCOMING_PRODUCTS);

?>

IMO nothing you described could create the symptoms you descrideb. Are you using your own server or using shared one ? My shop started acting funny when server people decide to move my site to another server or upgrade something (usually php)

Looks like you are losing sessions try setting this in your configure.php files:

  define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql');

Was the PHP version your server is running updated about the time that your problems started occurring?

OK...I've set store_sessions to 'mysql'. Will this have any other impact on my site, or my users?

Now I have to wait and see...like I say, it never fails for me. However, I've gone from 4 or 5 orders a day to...nothing for four days, so everyone else must be having problems.

Many Thanks,

Steve

Looking Good!!!

I haven't the faintest idea what happened, but everything's fine again now.

I checked with my ISP, they had no reported problems, and the only upgrade on the server has been FTP.

I didn't remove my changes from last week (adding images to default.php), so that was not the issue.

Looks like it could be one of life's unsolved mysteries.

Thanks for all the help, much appreciated. I am not alone! :lol:

Many Thanks,

Steve
