theMusicMan Posted July 4, 2003 Posted July 4, 2003 Hi I can foresee times when I would be willing to give special discount to certain individuals either before or after they have ordered... Is there any way I can reduce the price on a 1-off basis or offer reduction to an individual without changing the main shop price for a product? John
Guest Posted July 5, 2003 Posted July 5, 2003 Take a look at the cart, catalog, admin section, it's already there
theMusicMan Posted July 5, 2003 Author Posted July 5, 2003 Hi horseonetwo, Thanks for the reply but I can't seem to find what you're telling me about. I can see specials.... I can't see it in there! I see that one can offer a 'special' by reducing the pricxe to everyone, but what I would like to do is offer a discount to just one person at one time!! Say for examply, you had done me a favour and spotted something on my site that you liked that I had on sale for say ?10.00 and to return the favour I said well, you did me a favour so you can have one of those for ?5.00... how can I achieve that? i.e an ammendment to the asking price for one individual? Thanks John John

theMusicMan Posted July 5, 2003 Author Posted July 5, 2003 go to catalog/ admin/ modules/order total/price break discount Sorry... do you mean with ftp? cos I can't seem to find that directory? John
Guest Posted July 5, 2003 Posted July 5, 2003 It's not a directory...it's a set of links. Go your admin area and click on Modules, Order Total. Price Break Discount should be one of the ones in the middle. I'm not sure how recent this is though (i.e. MS2 or MS1 or what). Hth, Matt

Guest Posted July 6, 2003 Posted July 6, 2003 Any ideas as to what and why I'm missing this ?Perhaps you are using a version from before this was introduced? I am doing most of my work from June CVS snapshots. If you are using, say, MS1, it might not have been included yet. Good luck, Matt
