lynncoles Posted July 4, 2003 Posted July 4, 2003 Can anyone please advise me how I can change the default selection in the pull down list that is generated when using the function to create a new customer account (create_account.php)? It currently defaults to 'Germany' but I would more often require it to default to 'United Kingdom'. How can I effect this change? Thank you.
Guest Posted July 4, 2003 Posted July 4, 2003 In the HTML definition, there will be a default next to Germany. Move it to the UK and you're done. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where this is defined in OSC nor how to move it. My installation defaulted to the first entry. Good luck, Matt
Guest Posted July 4, 2003 Posted July 4, 2003 New at all this so someone correct me if im wrong.. I believe, if you go into the admin menu -> customers -> locations -> countries . You can edit the list of countries to suit (in my case i deleted all but Ireland and UK to suit my purposes). Then you can set any country you like as default. I believe that the default country selected then appears as default on the create_account.php file Hope this helps.
