Guest Posted July 4, 2003 Posted July 4, 2003 YOu are not paying attention during your install - it will automatically insert location for the files as catalog/admin so you must look for those and change them. You should move the folders from admin/admin and catalog/catalog to just catalog and admin
webhero Posted July 4, 2003 Author Posted July 4, 2003 Thanks for your answer. I've made like you have said but I get this error: Step 2: osCommerce Configuration Warning: fopen("/kunden/hostien.com/oscommerce/catalog/admin/admin/includes/configure.php", "w") - No such file or directory in /kunden/hostien.com/oscommerce/catalog/catalog/install/templates/pages/install_5.php on line 164 Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid File-Handle resource in /kunden/hostien.com/oscommerce/catalog/catalog/install/templates/pages/install_5.php on line 165 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid File-Handle resource in /kunden/hostien.com/oscommerce/catalog/catalog/install/templates/pages/install_5.php on line 166 The configuration was successful! ..... the problem I think is that I c'ant get off this catalog out of the admin path. I've tried a lot. Have you any other ideas. Sorry for my english I'm German. webhero ps.: Nice the Image of Trinity
webhero Posted July 4, 2003 Author Posted July 4, 2003 The automatic configuartion at the beginning. Asks for the Webserver Catalog Directory default = /catalog/ alway when /catalog/ is entered there is the admin folder attend in /catalog/admin/admin. when I left the Webserver Catalog Directory blank I get an error because the oscommerce.sql is not found Error: SQL file does not exist: /kunden/hostien.com/oscommerce/cataloginstall/oscommerce.sql There must be un error in the autoconfiguration script because the entry of the Webserver Catalog Directory is always set before Webserver Administration Tool Directory with is set correctly to /admin/admin/. Please answer :(
osCfan Posted July 4, 2003 Posted July 4, 2003 This problem can easily be solved by putting the admin folder inside catalog folder... And then run the installation again, it shouldn't have any problem.
webhero Posted July 4, 2003 Author Posted July 4, 2003 Of corse, I have allready read this but the problem is that I have to change many Links, that the new location can be found by other script files. Or is this wrong. Do you made the same or how does you have realized your configuration in your case? I will put it in the /catalog/ folder but I'm a littele bit afraid that with a new release un update won't be possible. Many Thanks! My english will become bether when I work with this shop. webhero
