Hi

I'm missing on the admin gui to fully configure the mail server. I can only define if I use sendmail or SMTP. But vou need to configure the mail host in the php.ini. So the config is not done on the same place. Not so funny ! :?

Does plan osCommerce to andd this feature in a next release :?:

regards

The problem is that the php.ini is not part of OSC, so they cannot change how it is configured. In fact, unless you misconfigured your web server, the php.ini should not be writeable by the web server; thus, they can't configure it it in the admin page.

Perhaps in the future, they will add a module to handle mail (although this is not on the workboard), but currently they are dependent on the PHP function.

Good luck,

Matt

Thanks @iiinetworks

I posted this because I use phpBB and I could configure in the setup.. and it works fine.

If you see how many Message you can find in this forum because a lot of poeple cant send mails from osc, you will ask why it works with phpBB fine and not with osc

Ok, I still have the problem to send mails... I'm working on it.

I deleted all spaces at the end of the .php file mentioned, but I didn't work. So I nearly to explose...

stay cool

Laurent
