Online Support Operator

Not sure if anyone has thought of this.. is there a way to create a split screen chat with an operator for customer support or sales support?

 

(i've seen a site, that has a link to an operator, and the link works only if the operator is online.)

 

Just a suggestion.

Someone showed me a php chat engine about a week ago. Unfortunately, I forget the name and any other relevant details at the moment.

 

Here is one I found on Google (not the one I saw earlier).
