mendoh Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Hi everyone. Is there a way to either restore or re-import the original themes that are made available with a fresh OSC4 install, in case they get accidentally deleted or overwritten? Thank you in advance and keep up the good work! Mendoh Quote

cjf1026 Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 @mendoh Can you provide the updated themes as you had before? The ones i downloaded from above are showing Desktop/Mobile when I go to customize, however in the newest version of OSCommerce, that is no longer a thing and you only have to edit one theme (Desktop) and I believe resizing for mobile is done automatically. I had imported the furniture file from above, but I think because it is older, I'd have to edit both Desktop AND Mobile versions. Quote

Hi cjf1026, I am currently not on the very latest version owing to an error I get when I run the most recent ugrade. As a consequence, I still have the old Desktop/Mobile option to edit when I go to customize and I believe my current themes are basically the same you can download from this page? Quote
cjf1026 Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 Okay. I don't need them at this juncture but would like to have the native unaltered theme for the future when I go to do seasonal edits. Theme backup only saves the layouts, not any of the text or picture alterations. Also curious: is it best to make a sales channel for seasonal themes like Christmas or use a different theme/template and judt switch from there? I'd assume from the theme page and develop locally and import as a theme when ready. Quote
mendoh Posted June 5, 2024 Author Posted June 5, 2024 Andrei is currently helping me getting rid of the error I am getting with my upgrade, so I guess I will be able to replicate/check on your situation after removing the error, only. Regarding your curiosity: I have created and enabled a new sales channel with its specific name, while disabling all the other sales channels at the same time. The new sales channels appears on the "themes" page among the other ones available. All the neceeary editing is performed on the new sales channel while the other ones stay available and unaltered (if needed), then switching from one sales channel to another is easily done form the "sales channel" page directly... cjf1026 Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Awesome thank you Mendoh. I'm going to get a test site up soon to work with. One would think I'd have done that first vs a production site first 🙃 I will do that then, work with sales channel and use that section for theming. Keep me posted on native/unaltered themes. Good luck with the upgrade! Quote
