Suddenly stopped getting customer order confirmation emails.

Hi all.

Started a couple months ago, and looking for any ideas where I might look for problems.

I get the payment confirmation from PayPal as well as other emails to that address just not OSC order confirmation emails.

No code changes have been done other then adjust inventory quantities.

Hello,

Some hosts block the sending of messages when the send email is different from the reply email. Check that in your administration the emails are identical in:

Configuration > My Store > E-mail address

Configuration > My Store > Email from

 I checked and both are the same, had also called the web host to see if they see any reason for the mail not being sent and they found nothing.

Unfortunately, something apparently got buggered in the OSC code but why that would be is a mystery.

I know just enough about the code used to be dangerous.

Took a second look, did see a difference, do you think this could cause it?

I wasn't aware that upper/lower case made any difference.

in site configuration it is salesOTSO@  while the site host and my email client is salesotso@

If I did serious business I guess it would tell pretty quick but I don't

Contact did not work  either but did find (luck) the problem.

Discovered all the emails (new email client) started going to the junk folder from salesotso@ .

I never flagged any email due to some good emails being junked or blocked so never thought to look in that folder but they they are all of them.
