osCommerce 4.0 release

Recommended Posts

osCommerce 4 was released this week.

(we had a delay caused by war in Ukraine, as a significant number of our team members were and are located in Ukraine)

osCommerce is a FREE, open source, Ecommerce platform for businesses of any size (retail, wholesale, enterprise).

Download new osCommerce 4.0 from https://www.oscommerce.com/ (choose "Host on your own"), or "try before use" to try osCommerce on one of our servers free of charge with FTP and mySQL access (choose "Host with osCommerce").

You can also download osCommerce from GitHub: https://github.com/osCommerce

Please note: we see a number of naturally expected "teething problems" with installation of new osCommerce on some servers. Don't hesitate to report such issues to us directly via the messaging system of this Forum, and we will try to address them as soon as possible.

Unique solutions include:

  • FREE advanced modern open source shopping cart
  • Connected with the App shop
  • Mobile and SEO friendly out of the box
  • Support for multiple sale channels
  • Advanced product and stock management
  • Design templates and built in Visual editor
  • Extensive CMS
  • Apps will be available for Amazon, eBay, QuickBooks, XERO, Sage integration

and many more.

Users of older osCommerce 2.x and some of its forks shall consider upgrading to osCommerce 4.0 to benefit from this safe, secure, and feature-rich platform.

Next to be released is support for 3rd party Apps in the App shop (free and paid) by osCommerce development and design partners, read more here:

https://www.oscommerce.com/blog/oscommerce-roadmap

After that we will be adding an opportunity for osCommerce partners to offer their services to the shop owners, read more here:

We welcome all users to osCommerce! Try new osCommerce and consider an upgrade or start a new Ecommerce site!

We urge osCommerce designers and developers to try new osCommerce to be able to assist their clients.

Support for older versions of osCommerce may be offered on these Forums, temporarily, although we encourage all users to move to the new, better, and more secure version.

Support for other Ecommerce platforms and osCommerce forks WILL NOT be offered on these Forums.

osCommerce proudly developed in the UK and Ukraine.
