Ivan Holbi
On 7/5/2023 at 2:26 AM, webwork said: Updated Hi Di, Regarding your questions there are 2 identical products in your admin area for the product you referred to in your screenshot. Please see the screenshot below. The first product costs 49.36 and the second one costs 30. But there is also the group price that is assigned to the customer group. Please see the screenshot below. If you choose the basic group the price for this product will be 49.36. Please see another screenshot below. By default any customer who visits the website belongs to the Basic group and they see 49.36 instead of 30. Please see another screenshot below. So in order to resolve it please either choose the option Use main price for the group or please set up the price 30 for the Basic group. Please see the third screenshot above. In product page. set net price as $30 and tax rate is 8.25% However, in front product page, the price is $49.36. Does it still has Pound to US$ conversion? And does it also include tax? Question 2: How to setup to show the base price in product page, $30? Question 3: In the shopping card, "tax" word is missed. Thank you in advance for your help! webwork
Hi, for email template, I use HTML format. I found "Add tracking numer" has a different paragraph spacing. How to change the paragraph spacing? In other email templates, e.g I created one as "Order Shipped", it seems that it cannot to refer the ##TRACKING_NUMBER##. Do I miss something? Where the tracking url is generated? How can I change it? Thank you in advance, Di

Regarding the tracking number in email: There are two email templates. 1. "Add Tracking Number": This email is triggered by adding tracking number. The tracking number is added to the email. This is the email that you referred. 2. "Order Shipped": This email is triggered by change the order status to "Completed Orders/Delivered". In this email, the tracking number is not added to the email. You can see the email before the email you referred to. The subject is "Your order xx has been delivered" For the tracking URL, I cannot find this entry in the configuration. Thankl you in advance. Hi Di, Regarding the email templates you added "Order Shipped" template yourself. In this template the system does not add the tracking number at the moment. We put it in the list of tasks so we will do it some time in the future. For the tracking URL you will not be able to find it in the configuration if you do not navigate to the link mentioned in my previous post (https://mywebsite/admin/configuration/index?row=3). Please make sure you fill in your website domain instead of "mywebsite" in this link. After you navigate to this link you should be able to find the corresponding option. If you install full SSL and put web address as say www2.domain.com when the install completes it will add a www in the front of that. Hi, It seems like there might be an issue with the SSL installation process. If you enter "www2.domain.com" during installation, it automatically adds an extra "www" in front, causing the URL to be invalid.
simon5968
Hi I see "Title: Mr Mrs Miss Neutral " in the admin > Orders/Customers > Customers - on the list of customers, I see you are showing the customers gender as a icon next to the first name, this is not a problem, but what is a problem is how you are determining the customers gender and it is wrong in so many ways, because you are not asking the customer but guessing by the title used at sign up/add new customer page. and to add to this you have a column in the database "customers_gender". so can we have a change updating this asap not guessing customer gender but asking them of there gender as by not asking, it is discrimination and here in the UK it is also against the law. If you enter "www2.domain.com" during installation, it automatically adds an extra "www" in front, causing the URL to be invalid. This is not a error on osCommerce or SSL part. In fact osCommerce script is has it right saying you have entered a subdomain name and not a full domain name. so the system correctly sent you to the right url working on that a sub domain name had been entered in setup. and this should be corrected within your config files and not in .htaccess www2.domain.com = a sub domain name and the system will use the url as www.ww2.domain.com which is right domain.com = is the full domain name and the system will use the url as www.domain.com which is right. www2.domain.com entered as a domain name when the system is asking for your domain is wrong by putting the www2. in front of the domain name. jdeutschman
I installed osCommerce 4.0 PrintShop on a Windows Server using PHP 7.4. The install seemed to complete without errors but I was unable to access the pages until I added the following rewrite rules to the web.config file (see attachment). After updating the web.config file, the site became operational, but I'm still unable to access the /admin backend. Does anyone know the correct rewrite rules for osCommerce 4.0 on Windows? web.config

jdeutschman
Ivan, All prior versions of osCommerce worked fine on IIS and I find it surprising that you would not be open to having version 4.x do so as well. As I mentioned in my post I was successfully able to install and run it on IIS, but I manually had to add/setup the rewrite rules for the site and must have made a mistake as I’m unable to access anything with /admin in the URL. I have tried translating the rewrite rules in .htaccess to IIS web.config format, but I obviously have made a mistake somewhere. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. My success would give you another platform for your users. Jay
