Can I find somewhere a basic example of how to import a product/category via API?
There is still no documentation...

Hi,

As far as we understand you would like to import a product/category via API from your older osCommerce version to the new one. If yes, please see the link below.

Best regards,

Ivan

That doesn't work anymore, it is for the old version and we have a new one now - please refer to the demo site at https://demo.oscommerce.com/ and Wiki here: https://wiki.oscommerce.com/index.php?title=Main_Page

No, I need to import data from our internal system (stock, products, images, product parameters,...). API documentation still missing. Oscommerce has big potential, but without API documentation is useless for us.

Hi,

Please see the following articles explaining how to proceed in your case.

OK, I created a new data source type = REST server.

Clicking on the wrench symbol - error:
[error][yii\base\ViewNotFoundException] yii\base\ViewNotFoundException: The view file does not exist: /var/www/html/osc/lib/backend/views/easypopulate/datasource/holbi-soap.tpl in /var/www/html/osc/lib/vendor/yiisoft/yii2/base/View.php:239

Clicking on settings symbol:

What next?

By the way, this wiki page (https://wiki.oscommerce.com/index.php?title=Managing_API) is probably out of date.
I don't see any "API access" section when editing a sales channel.

Many thanks for your comments. It'd because it will appear via an app or similar.

This is the end... I don't have any more time. I found another Yii2 system - is paid but fully functional including detailed documentation. I am disappointed with osCommerce. I might come back when you finish  REST API and documentation.
