Looking for contributors to the new osCommerce wiki.

We need to create usable manuals, real-life "how to" instructions for merchants.

We also need to create manuals for designers and developers.

Please comment here to indicate your interest or contact us via the website.

Thanks!

https://wiki.oscommerce.com

Is where we have currently existing manuals. More to be added shortly.

Please ignore references to the old name of the system if you notice one in a Wiki page, these are being worked on.

It is in the read-only mode at the moment, but community access will be enabled in the future.

Does the system have its own product API for bulk import/update?
If so, it would be good to document this procedure for the API as well.

Yes it does!

It is possible to use the built in import / export feature (manual to be created by @Ivan Holbi), or the API

And Automatic import/Data sources - how it works? Or is it better to program an import with writing directly to the database (import a lot of data)?

@Ivan Holbicould you please add information about automatic import and data sources to Wiki?

Any progress? Does the system include a basic example of using an API (import a pair of products and categories from external source/API/XML) or will it be added to WIKI? Connection to external systems is a must-have thing for a quick start of the e-shop...
