disabling the shop from the rest ?

I am currently working for a customer which wants to have the shop in the future.... but needs a website now. So i was thinking about using OsCommerce from the start but without the shoppingmodules. So the question is if you can disconnect the orderingfiles from the rest easily ???

if not what are the files to transform ...
