jm2.solutions Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 When I click the Retrieve Live Credentials button I get the following error. It's been like this for weeks. HELP!! I did the same procedure for a friend of mine a few weeks ago. His works fine. Thanks to anyone who can help me resolve this issue. Could not initiate the start account procedure. Please try again in a short while. Quote
burt Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 Make sure the crt file is 100 up to date (most likely it is not as you are using an old osCommerce). https://github.com/gburton/CE-Phoenix/blob/master/ext/modules/payment/paypal/paypal.com.crt is (I believe) an up to date version. Quote
jm2.solutions Posted October 29, 2020 Author Posted October 29, 2020 Just tried it. Didn't work. Quote
jm2.solutions Posted October 29, 2020 Author Posted October 29, 2020 Burt, I'm going to try Phoenix. Do you think that is a good idea? Quote

jm2.solutions Posted October 29, 2020 Author Posted October 29, 2020 I did it with Phoenix and get this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '?' in /home2/chronicoffender/public_html/includes/application_top.php on line 44 Quote

Heatherbell Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 We have the same issue with https. Had to do manually with "Manage Your API Credentials" on right yellow/orange panel. Quote

jm2.solutions Posted October 29, 2020 Author Posted October 29, 2020 I was able to put my API into in the Manage Your API Credentials form. Seems to be working now. Thanks Heather, thanks Burt. I thought I had to use the 'Retrieve Live Credentials' button to get it working correctly. I was wrong. Quote
burt Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 I'd still like to check on your use of php7.4 as 7.4 would not complain about a double ?? (the null coalescing operator)... Are you absolutely certain you are on 7.4 ? I know that's a dumb Q, but it's often the case that users get mixed up...which makes support difficult sometimes. Quote
♥14steve14 Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Gary @burt I had exactly the same problem and tried on PHP 7.1.33, PHP 7.2.34, PHP 7.3.23 and PHP 7.4.11. I had to manually copy the information from my old site to the new one. Quote REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP

mikabee Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 I'm unable to configure PayPal Sandbox for the first time using "Manage API Credentials" in admin. The form in admin has these fields: API Username, API Password, API Signature, Merchant ID, PayPal E-Mail Address & Primary E-Mail Address. They don't match with the fields I can find from developer.PayPal.com (assuming i'm in the right place/page). In developer.paypal.com > My apps & Credentials -page I can find: Sandbox account, Client ID and Secret?
