I have seen this problem in several post but none of the replies helped me.

I'm trying to install on WINDOWS XP PRO

PHP, MYSQL are installed and working.

After step 2 of the install I get

I am having the exact same errors and I have changed the files to 777. So I don't think that is the problem.

I have removed the READ ONLY Attribute on the configure.php files and I still have the same problem.

I've looked at the containing folders attributes as well.

But here something weird is happening.

I can change the folder's attribute not to be read only, apply it, Click OK with no problems.

But when I go back in it, the folder's attribute is back to read-only.

Any one who attempted an install under WINDOWS with IIS has had this problem.
