milerwan
For osc v2.3.4 BS and Frozen Hi all, I just finished the complete redesign of the display of products from the module "products_listing" (includes/modules/products_listing.php). It is still a Bootstrap 3 database but I have retouched the CSS in order to obtain elements that appear or disappear depending on the nature of the grid poster (Grid or List) which is useful for metamorphosing l 'together according to the dimensions of the page and adapt it to the line or thumbnail structure so that the elements do not overlap. Here is a link to an example of the rendering obtained : Enhanced Products Listing BS3 Let me know your suggestions. burt
I had a long reply typed out, pressed submit and then the page locked up and I lost the lot 😕 I cannot be bothered to type it all out again, so here is a précis; Too much information on a page leads to customer turning off Get rid of all the things that the customer does not want to know. If you have to have it, put it hidden away on the product_info page. We spent 1000s on UX/UI over the years, most recently a year ago. I got a company to get random people in off the street and sit them in front of a computer with a list of things to do/find. Conclusion that relates to your post: Joe public - generally - do not use the grid/list feature. All that said, if you believe it is useful for your shops demographic, good for you. About grid display, I have noticed that the height of some pictures was not good (and too big in fact) and I reviewed the height of the images in grid mode. This looks better than before. NB: About the use of jQuery for automatic height, I favored the CSS solution proposed by Burt which has the advantage of adapting in real time to the screen format resizing. @burt Burt, I took note of your remarks concerning the relevance - or not - of an online posting and I reworked the whole so that this type of posting presents a real interest compared to the grid system. I also reviewed the height of the images in grid mode as written above... Now what do you think of the result ? NB: To get the estimate delivery, you need to add a product and go to shopping cart to have your country logged than you can go back to the "products_listing" page to see the result. Here is a link to see the result : Enhanced Products Listing BS3 Osc v2.3.4 BS "custom" PHP 7.3 compatible (710 modified files => o_O')
burt
If you believe your changes work for your demographic; I don't particularly like it as much as you do, but then you have many things in your site that I don't like And as we always say; your site, your rules. kgtee
@milerwan The list view is a useful feature for shops that have a long list of products. I am sure some shops look forward to having this feature. I would love to see if you could make it into a module, alternative to the existing product_listing module for Phoenix. Cheers! elcentenario
Hello, the design itself is quite good, the main problem is that it has too much content on the same page that can confuse the user. The pages with blank sides distract the user much less, increasing profits with your company. Then, I have seen things that you do very well, such as the products linked within a product, the description and the evaluations. I think, you should focus on offering the information that the user is only looking for. Greetings, I hope it helps you.
