Navbar "Languages" & "Currencies" are disabled on checkout pages - why?

Hi,

Is there a reason why navbar modules "Languages" & "Currencies" are disabled on checkout pages?  Is it going to cause any issues if they are enabled during the checkout?

Never noticed that until you said - best guess is that it's coded in the module file that way for a good reason so probably would cause a problem if you change the core code for them to show.
I also guess that a customer would have chosen a currency/language option before checkout in any case.

I did change the core code and everything went well so far.  I just wanted to make sure it isn't something bad that I should not be doing.

Historically so.  Dont know why.

Possibly have some unwanted effect on payment module selection ?

I switched between languages & currencies many times before making test orders, so far no unwanted effect yet.

I believe it is intentional to ensure customers spear ahead to checkout and not to be distracted by other things. 😀
