zefeena Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Hi, I have the paypal option on my site, but notice they also now offer a 'credit' option. They don't show an option on their site to use this with oscommerce, but I wondered if anyone had managed to integrate it? Running a botched up version of osCommerce Online Merchant v2.3.4 bootstrap with the dresscode theme installed, numerous add-ons, terrible coding, terrible website, but will have to make do until I have made up for my losses and can risk shutting down for a couple of weeks while I start all over again. - I did not install my program but am endeavouring to fix it with your help.
♥JcMagpie Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 PayPal have always offer card option? depending on which PayPal your using it is either easy to spot or not. On standerd its a small link saying pay using card on express it ia more visable. My have changed as it's been some time since I looked but t's always been an option.
♥14steve14 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I think its more of an option for those that have a PayPal account as it gives your customers an option to buy from you using the credit account they have set up on their account, but I may be wrong. My problem is that I dont use paypal to pay so never see the option, plus I only ever make small paypals online so never go over the £99 minimum. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP

zefeena Posted September 11, 2019 Author Posted September 11, 2019 Hi, No its not a credit card option. Its a finance facility offered by paypal (buy now pay later). The normal paypal link will just allow customers to use a debit or credit card, The credit option only takes a percentage as a first payment, then allows them to pay the rest in instalments eg: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-virtual-credit https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/how-can-i-add-paypal-credit-banners-to-my-website-faq3107 Running a botched up version of osCommerce Online Merchant v2.3.4 bootstrap with the dresscode theme installed, numerous add-ons, terrible coding, terrible website, but will have to make do until I have made up for my losses and can risk shutting down for a couple of weeks while I start all over again. - I did not install my program but am endeavouring to fix it with your help.
♥JcMagpie Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 😂 must pay more attention, no not seen that and not had any contact from paypal business about it either. looks like it's for the customer and they need to apply for it to be added to his/her paypal account. Then on any basket they pay using paypal account and in the paypal account they see the option to use credit or pay from account. So I don't think you will see anything or need to modify osC checkout. " I have a business account. How can I sign up for PayPal Credit? You can contact PayPal Customer Services to change your business account to a personal account to apply for PayPal Credit. Alternatively, you can create a new personal account to apply."
zefeena Posted September 11, 2019 Author Posted September 11, 2019 I never had any contact from them. I just noticed that they were offering it on ebay checkout, and offering 4 months interest free credit to those spending over £100. I thought it might encourage customers to buy from me instead of ebay (but paypal obviously has other ideas!). lol Running a botched up version of osCommerce Online Merchant v2.3.4 bootstrap with the dresscode theme installed, numerous add-ons, terrible coding, terrible website, but will have to make do until I have made up for my losses and can risk shutting down for a couple of weeks while I start all over again. - I did not install my program but am endeavouring to fix it with your help.
