evan Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 I made a little change to a web site built by other people with oscommerce 2.2MS1 by adding a fedex shipping module and alterring the "products" database table to add three columns for products dimensions. After that, I find I have problem with the web download products. The shipping cost is now charged to the web download products and shipping address information is also shown on the check out page which doesn't make sense. I tried to set products weight and tare weight to zero, but the problem still persist. Since I took over the project in the middle so I don't know if there is any way to correct this by the oscommerce administration settings or I have to change some code of some pages. I appreciate very much for any help from the community.
evan Posted June 28, 2003 Author Posted June 28, 2003 I finally figured it out this morning. I'd like to post the process here for reference of the community. After I modified the products database table, for unknown reasons, all the products attributes were reset. The downloadable products attributes must be set manually through administration panel under "product attribute" category. To do this select the downloadable product from the drop downlist and select as "downlaodable", remember all fields must not be left blank otherwise it takes no effect, , everything is gonna ok after click "insert".
