It's very likely to include the JIT engine ( just in time compulation), which will see big improvments in performance. code written in PHP 5 when executed in PHP 7 you can see improvments in performance of over 50%. It's expected the JIT in PHP 8.0 will give the same if not better improvements. 7.3 is already out and we may see a few more minor updates like 7.4 or 7.6 but PHP 8.0 is the one people are waiting for.   Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
