Newbie needs help here..

my problem is that when i add the news items... they come out having the latest ones at the bottom of the page... which is not my original intention... can someone show me how to fix this so that the newest item appears at the top?

 

i'm using the news editor in tools section. ~/storemanager/news.php

 

and can someone tell me where i can find wat version it is im using... theres no obvious release or version file
