TxRattPack Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 I have just been "converted" to OsCommerce and I love it. I have uploaded and went through the installation procedures. But i keep being told i do not have SSL protection, but i have SSL installed on my domain? I also cannot for the life of me figure out how to "publish" the store for people to start to use it and for me to be able to "test & review" my site for errors. Anyone who might be able to help me i would really appreciate it thank you
Guest Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 You will have to put your SSL path in both your admin and catalog/includes/configure.php and enable your SSL HTH The_Bear
TxRattPack Posted June 26, 2003 Author Posted June 26, 2003 I did what you said and works great for SSL now, but, i have cleared all of my IE temp fiels and cookies and copied the address for the store admin section and poof, it brought me right to it. to me this means that anyone can go right into and change my admin sections around. How do i prevent this from happening?
TxRattPack Posted June 26, 2003 Author Posted June 26, 2003 ok hate to sound like a rookie, but i am so here goes. how do i do that?
Guest Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Ok big difference between ssl (wich is for sending information encrypted) and password protecting a folder (admin) Does your Hosting provider supplies a CPanel for your site? If yes go in your Cpanel and click on password protect directories ( or something like that. HTH The_Bear
