Contributions for 2.2 and 2.1 - usability?

Hi all,

 

it's been quite some time since I have last been here.

 

I just realized that there is the "new" 2.2 version.

 

One customer of mine, for whom I installed osCommerce would like some additions to his store.

 

So I had a a look at the contributions sections and there are a lot of contributions which could help us.

 

we are running the osc 2.1 Preview version. Back when I installed that system, I heavily modified the attribute engine, so I cannot just upgrade the whole store.

 

Is it generally possible to use 2.2 extensions on the 2.1 release or won't this work in any case???

I'm running into the same question. I started with 2.1, and I had to completely modify the attribute structure for this store, which also involved rewriting some class methods, so upgrading the store would take a long time.

 

I'm spending a lot of time today looking for contribs to do some stuff I need done. When I find out how difficult it is, I'll let you know. :)
