Guest Posted June 24, 2003 Posted June 24, 2003 i am having a problem with the email that is sent to the customer when they make there purchase. the url that is sent to tht customer is not hyperlinkes to bring them back to the page for their order history or what not. i have tried several options to fix this and i have switched mailservers. switched mail clients that retriev the mail i have even tried sending them from another friends mail server and to no avail still not hyper linked. is there any one who would be able to tell me where to begin to look. i am using x mail as a mail server and i have used mail enable and argosoft mail server as well. i have tried to retrieve the mail from outlook , outlook express and web mail and also hotmail and still no hyper linkthe url is there but the customer wuold not be able to click on it it is in plain text. # 2 there is a contribution here for faxing in orders but i do not see one for mailing in order or maybe i have not found it yet. is there one? what i am tryingto do is if the customer wants to mail me acheck i want them to be able to print out a order for with the merch that that they ordered is this poss. #3 ( last but not least)!!!!!!! is theree a report system that will let you know when your low on stock from the site instead of having to look at the inventory manually. see i have 3 huge stock rooms and it is a pain to go and take physical inventory of item that are there and whats i am low on . i have a inventory system setup for walk in customers and when i sell something over the counter it is deducted automatiacally but throug the net will set me off of my inventory. thanl you very much for your anticipated help Adrian
Guest Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 ok i have a update! i have now been succsessful in tracking down the culprit that was not alllowinf me to send mail to my customers. it was a feature called e-wall( a firewall for smtp) and i have since disabled it as i am not ablt to get it to work with out making a pen relay
