Tab Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 I'm starting to research CMS for our site redesign. Both Mambo and osCommerce look good. Can anyone tell me if osCommerce will NOT handle any of the following easily? I'm new to all this so a bit overwhelmed. Site description/requirements: Lots of technical product and service information along with ecommerce features. 5 categories of products & services for sale Products with long descriptions Specials and sales Product tips list (with sort & search) Faqs manager (with sort & search) Online newsletters list (with sort & search) Sitemap that is created and updated automatically(?) Breadcrumbs Site search Help desk manager with email notification Poll/survey manager Cross-selling of related products Unusual shipping (doesn't match options) File uploads & downloads (pwd protected form) A couple of development issues: Fairly non-tech web developer, so setup customization and content must be useable/modifyable without coding (after initial setup by tech) Need to be able to review/finalize any content submitted by SMEs Must be able to do most of site development/editing offline (using DW MX), with only minor edits using web interface
