com1usa Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 I have scoured these forums and cannot find a definative answer why I would or would set the cache to true in admin. My products will rarely change if that makes a difference. Any advice?
Guest Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Cache is used to retrieve pages that have been previously requested - this reduces load on your server/database - just be sure that your cache directory is in your document_root.

I tried to make different folders almost everywhere on my server . I called all of them tmp but I still get the error message in the head of my page: Warnung Warnung: Das Verzeichnis f?r die Sessions existiert nicht: /tmp. Die Sessions werden nicht funktionieren bis das Verzeichnis erstellt wurde! Can somebody define strictly where to put in that directory and which chown and chmod i have to configure it to?
