Dadoody Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 I get this error now when trying to install: The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set. Please perform the following actions: cd /home/brussel9/otoproductionsmovies-www/Sleeper/catalog/includes/ touch configure.php chmod 706 configure.php cd /home/brussel9/otoproductionsmovies-www/Sleeper/catalog/admin//includes/ touch configure.php chmod 706 configure.php If chmod 706 does not work, please try chmod 777. If you are running this installation procedure under a Microsoft Windows environment, try renaming the existing configuration file so a new file can be created. WHat configuration file? >_____< There wasn't any there to begin with >_< Please help :...(
Guest Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 You should be looking in your catalog/includes/ folder for configure.php. There is also a similar file, in catalog/admin/includes also named configure.php. If the file isn't there, then you may want to re-install. If you are worried that the version you downloaded is corrupt, then download MS1 from this site and install it.
Dadoody Posted June 22, 2003 Author Posted June 22, 2003 Hmm, I don't see any config file in there. I hope it was corrupt. Oh well, I guess I'll do it again. I found a link to someone having a similar problem, but nothing sounds like what I'm going through. http://www.hostnexus.com/forum/showthread/t-2092.html
Dadoody Posted June 22, 2003 Author Posted June 22, 2003 ok, downloaded and installed again. There is no config.php file in any of the includes folders. There;s just an "application" file.
Dadoody Posted June 22, 2003 Author Posted June 22, 2003 Sure....but I hope I can trust you >_< Really though, the only PHP application in catalog/install/includes/ is application.php I've tried just making up a configure.php file and chmoding it to 777, but that doesn't work either.
Guest Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 There have been several other people here that I have helped by means of ftp. I am here to help, not to screw with people. You can always change your ftp name and/or password after I am done and you won't have anything to worry about.
