So any sugestions re the following will be greatly appreciated. What is the best prog to edit the site pages & pics. I'm thinking of using Dreamweavers capabilities but will it be sufficient. With adding all these contributions and still customizing the site's look and feel, everything is starting to get a little overwhelming and thought it would be great to be able to manage everything from just one program. And I downloaded this file to use MS Access to import or access (LOL) mySQL - will this work if I quickly want to update all my prices on the site? I've also recently downloaded a tutorial for mySQL and PHP, I hope this will help me bug u guys a little less. Thanx in advance.
Guest Posted June 21, 2003 Posted June 21, 2003 I have and use dreamweaver mx. It does everything you need to edit these sites. Mine is setup to use server side scripting, so is all I do is open up dreamweaver, and hit the connect button. It will then ftp into my site, and I can edit the files on my machine and then upload. You can edit one file at a time or 20, and then upload. I don't know where I would be right now without dreamweaver.
pisces69 Posted June 21, 2003 Author Posted June 21, 2003 I also have it installed and agree it's the best authoring tool. i have also set it upto use ftp and I downloaded all the files to my pc to be able to edit and upload them, I just wanted to make sure it is a viable option. I was too scared to make too many changes, so I opened the files in Notepad and then uploaded with WS_FTP 7. Thanx I'll try doing everything with Dreamweaver. How about managing mySQL with access, have you tried it? Thanx again.
