Getting 9000 HTML pages into OsCommerce Catalog

I have over 9000 html pages that I need to somehow get into my OsCommerce catalog.

Does anyone know how I can do this. I am a little familiar with Easy Populate, but I think I need to find a way to convert the HTML to a excel file. And then I can use easy populate to import them into my database.

Any suggestionis/tips/advice?

Thank you very much

I would have to see some of the samples. Is there a major similarity between pages or is each one very different? Im a programmer and may be able to write a parser for you. You can reply here or email me at [email protected]

Paul,

thank you very much, I have sent you an email with more details.

To clarify my original post.

I have 9000 product pages in very basic individual html pages. I need to somehow get these pages into my Os Commerce products catalog.

Anyone know how?

You might be able to use Easy Populate to migrate them. As I understand it, you have 9000 pages that you want to use as the product descriptions. If you can get them into one file as separated text fields and import them into a spreadsheet, then you can use Easy Populate to upload the spreadsheet to your osCommerce catalog.

I believe that Paul is offering to write a parser that will fill in some of the other fields that Easy Populate needs (or he may be intending to do the whole thing with the parser). This could save you some time. Incidentally, if I were doing something like this, I think that I might make the parser convert them to a spreadsheet format and then let you use Easy Populate to upload them. Not so much to make it easier as to give you a chance to look over the results in spreadsheet form so that you can make any necessary edits (chances are that any parser one might make will make a few mistakes) prior to upload.

Good luck,

Matt

Thank you for the replies.

The product images are imbeded in that Html. Is there any way to use that image as the product image for Os Commerce.

I don't know if this is allowed for me to post but, I am also looking for someone to handle this task for me. Anyone interested?

Thanks

For future reference, there is a forum for Seeking Commercial Help. You post there, and people send you Private Messages suggesting an interchange of information (what exactly you need; how much it will cost).

What you might want to do in preparation is to figure out a way to describe your web pages. For example, a list of files that can be found in www.mydomain.com. Then someone could just go over and take a look at the actual files to figure out how difficult it would be to parse them.

Good luck,

Matt
