Send Custom Variables to cart...

I'm just looking to use the shopping cart feature, not any of the portal shopping commerce site functions...

 

I would like to be able to send a varable that is generated on the page itself (as prices and configurations can change on a per user basis, basically the site is a configure to order site...)

 

is there any way to do this?

common guys, you gotta know a way to do it, agh, I guess I'll just program a cart myself...
