Guest Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 there is no files with extension.htm in osc ! talk to your hosting provider HTH The_Bear
barselona1444 Posted June 20, 2003 Author Posted June 20, 2003 Thanks but ....I need a solution..Host man gave me this info about index.htm....Is there anyone who can give other idea? Thank you :)
wizardsandwars Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 It probably means that it has an error page for whenever it finds no index.html file in it. OSC comes with a "default.php" file that should be used as the index.html. Ask you host to change the configuration so that the default.php file is recognized as your index.html file. That will fix it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. Wizzud Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 If you post the link to the site we could have a look and possibly be more informative ... ? Regards, Wizzud "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
barselona1444 Posted June 20, 2003 Author Posted June 20, 2003 wizardsandwars: Thank you.I'll do so.It's very helpful.I hope host man can do it... Wizzud: Thank you for your answer and support. If I can not fix it ,I'll post my link for better understanding later.....
wizardsandwars Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 Well, if you host is unable to do it, you can do it yourself. Try that route first, and if it doesn't work, we'll go from there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. barselona1444 Posted June 23, 2003 Author Posted June 23, 2003 wizardsandwars: Hello,well.....,after 2 days I found host man...His words are: "If we change the index.php it will do you no good. You need to find the file as the wbmaster says below which is your default.php file and change that name to index.php and it will work." If I am not mistaken there are some "default.php." files..Any way.I did make my site.I do not know where to find it...What shell I do?Over 5 days I do not have my"set up".. May be you can help me? Any ideas from other webmasters?Thank you.
barselona1444 Posted June 23, 2003 Author Posted June 23, 2003 Sorry, small mistake.." I did not make my site"
Guest Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 well, rename default.php in the dir catalog to index.php. then in application_top.php (or files.php i believe on newer versions) in the dir catalog/includes change the line that says: define('FILENAME_DEFAULT', 'default.php'); change to: define('FILENAME_DEFAULT', 'index.php'); than it should work.
