orlin Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 Hello you all. I've been trying to set-up an oscommerce shopping cart. So far I've uploaded the files and everything on the server, I installed it and it's ready for administration throught the administration controls. But I've got some major problems/questions: 1.How exactly do I get my OScommerce online accessible and ready for users to visit, browse, shop? 2.Is it possible somehow to import (add new entries) to the database from a text file instead of entering them one by one throught the controls? 3.This "database backup": what does it backup? The database with the item descriptions, prices, etc, or just some list with partial info. I've got 2500 entries to enter, and I am afraid that after spending huge amount of time, I might all of a sudden lose my information since the probability for an error in the administration of my OScommerce site is huge (I'm a newbie, remember :wink: ) I would greately appreciate any help from all of you!!!!!!!! Guest Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 After installation you change the text in your catalog/includes/language/english.php and catalog/includes/language/english/all files.php Enable what you need as payment shippingetc and you are ready to go live.
