adding weight to products

I know it's proberly the most stupidest question but I cant figure it out?? how do you add weight to products that are already online??

 

I'm changing my whole shipping method to work with the weight of products..

 

How do I add the weight??

go into the admin >> catalog >> catagories/products

click on the products and then click on the edit button that appears on the right hand side and change the weight

thats the problem.. I've already done all that and there is no option to add the weight??

 

it's say's the following;

 

Product status-

Date available-

Products manufacturer-

Products name-

Products description-

Products quantity-

Products model-

Products image-

Products URL-

Products price-

Tax class-

$shipping amount-

 

and that's it??

in your editing I think you messed up on one of your defines in your admin languages because the $shipping amount should be products weight... check your admin/english/categories.php

 

make sure it says

define('TEXT_PRODUCTS_WEIGHT', 'Products Weight:');
